A Bee-yoo-tiful Flower for You

Yesterday I was doing a little pre-US-visit gift-shopping in Kobe when I happened upon a lovely rosegarden. (In case anyone wants to go there it's on the raised walkway that connects all the buildings in Sannomiya, right behind the OPA building.) It smelled heavenly and they had 3 or 4 different kinds of roses as well as other small plants and flowers. It's a great place to relax in the sunshine and enjoy a book or just chat with someone. Check it out if you get the chance!

(The only drawback is that there aren't any no-smoking signs {when was the last time you saw a salaryman pay attention to a no-smoking sign anyway}, so sometimes the fragrance of the roses is marred by smoke. )

There was a rose festival like 2 weeks ago, i wonder if they were connected. They were showcasing the new Blue Roses.
