Rice for Rin
I fed Rin his first solid food today: rice gruel. He really seemed to like it, eating it up with a big smile and getting it all over himself. (Of course I stripped him down to his diapy before I gave it to him. ) Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic, so you'll have to wait until the next feeding to see him covered in gloopy rice.

Wow! He's growing fast - can't wait to see a picture of him enjoying his rice. Just out of curiousity - when a Japanese mother feeds her baby his solid food, does she use hashi or a spoon (because it's goopy)?
I don't think you could pick it up with chopsticks; it's more a stew or a soup than actual rice.
I just dipped my finger in it and let him suck it off since he's already used to sucking on my finger. Maybe in another few tries I'll bring out the spoon.
