Excellent creepy-crawlie! You know, some of your friends & rels haven't been to Sparkling Sanda yet and might enjoy outside pix of downtown or some pretty scenery - or even something "typically Japanese" like rows of hanbaiiki at a train station. For myself, a picture of Arimafuji or your little neighborhood garden at the foot of the hill would be welcome.
Gotcha I'll try and get some more pics of Sanda up soon!
It's actually a centipede. Centipedes are flatter with those little jaws up front and have less legs than millipedes. Millipedes are more tub shaped and have little round heads with MANY more legs. They also tend to roll up into a ball when you pick them up... centipedes don't and would just try to bite you... they're more aggressive. :P
a blog post about millipedes that tells the differences
Namely "Unlike centipedes, millipedes cannot bite and do not posses a centipede's venomous modified legs." :D
I ♥ Millipedes. I hate Centipedes. ;)
(I was a bug collector as a kid... an aspiring entomologist) ;)
