♪ Beck, Beck, She's a Lego-maniac ♪

Yesterday Shoichi and I went to the Kobe Porto Bazar (only one A for some reason) outlet mall and we got Legos! I got the awesomely realistic helicopter you see above and Shoichi got a Ferrari race car pit-stop set. Pretty sweet!

Cool. Were there any lego space shuttles or ... FA-18s? That would be impressive.

BTW, just so you know, I started an English book club here in my lil ol deutschy town a month ago and when we run out of ideas for books to read I'm just gonna take a peak at your book blog for inspiration(admittedly I have read a lot of the stuff that's on it but there are some things that I haven't). We are reading Khaled Hosseini's 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' at the moment. (Your 'books I'm reading now' book reminded me of this).

Yeah, I actually picked up his last one 'The Kite-runner' while I was back in the States. If you want a recommendation, I really liked 'Confessing a Murder', my top pick from last year.

I'm currently reading 'Jewels' by Victoria Finlay (need to update the blog) and it's pretty interesting too. There's a big section on Coober Petey and the Australian opal mining industry which might be fun for you....

They did have a space-shuttle BTW, but it was wicked expensive. We both really loved putting together the ones we got though, so we might be making another trip to the Lego shop soon.

Did your recent experience in pain and bodily damage influence your choice of Lego sets? Let's see a shot of the Ferrari pit stop set, too! Legos are great! They're like do-it-yourself transformers without the slickness.
