Sanda: City of Flowers, Water and Trees
A few weeks ago Shoichi and I went to Kazan-in, an ancient temple in the mountains in Sanda. It's the home of the seven lucky Jizo statues and has a spectacular view of the whole town.
A Jizo statue wearing a knitted red cap. Jizo is the protector of children.
Sunset over Sanda as seen from Kazan-in.
Statues of the Seven Lucky Jizo.
A lovely full moon over the mountains.
N.B. Post title is Sanda's new slogan, title of this blog is Sanda's old slogan

sanda is great, but i liked the previous motto.
Me too! It had more oomph to it!
The new motto is kind of boring. I liked the older one better. But the pix are gorgeous. Can't wait to come back and see baby Kanou!!!!! - and, of course, baby Kanou's parents as well but you know who will be the main attraction!!!
Love you
Julie
I went there with Bec before my shameful return to Canada. It was a cool little place to visit.

Thanks for the messages guys!
Please keep the old motto for your blog - it is SO much better. What were they thinking? Is there a city in Japan that doesn't have flowers, water and trees??
Mom- Osaka for one has about zero trees and flowers.
