No, Miss Larson, I expect you to die....

Um, so today I took the advice of one of my students and tried the kickboxing class at the Konami Gym.
Woo hoo!
It was a work-out and a half, let me tell you, especially for the newly fitness-conscious such as myself. We did all kind of kicks and punches and hopped around a lot to bad techno music and Cher remixes. The instructor was really cool though and he was kind enough to stop each set for a cooling-down and toweling off break right before I thought I was going to die from an exploded heart, so that was good. It was pretty hard, but fun!
(P.S. Is it morally wrong of me to actually like techno remixes of Cher? I feel that it must be...)
(P.P.S. Before you say anything, yes, I know that I suck at photoshop...)

Vicious Deer Attack in Nara

So, Matt and I had a great time visiting various spots around the Kansai. On the first day we went to Nara (via the long, long way round, which was almost deja-vu of the time I went with Dad) to see the Giant Buddha, and you guessed it: the DEER.
Now, the Nara deer are not your average, every-day, friendly, "I'm-so-cute-come-and-pet-me" kind of deer.
They are vicious killers.
They are out for blood, and once they smell fear on you, you're a goner. Thusly, although Matt somehow strangely emerged unscathed, I was not so fortunate, and was savagely mauled, barely escaping with my life.
I learned 2 important lessons though:
1) Never let a Nara deer out of your sight
2) From now on, leave the photo-shopping up to Erica.

PS: For those have you who (thankfully) have never heard it, believe me when I say that the cry of a deer is one of the most horrifying sounds imaginable; a high-pitched hissing whine, halfway between a spitting cat and fingernails on a blackboard.

Dadlí

After looking at the pictures Mom sent me, and being inspired by all the quasi-photo-shopping Erica's been doing, I decided to try my hand at creating a little "work of art" myself. (I know it's really lame... but you have to admit the resemblance is there...) I've also decided I agree with Erica; trying to photo-shop anything with a paint program is a bitch-and-a-half!
Goog eveninger!
